Dantonio unsure about Allen’s injury; WR White on his way back
Since elevating Matt Allen to the starting center job, the position has been a rare source of stability for Michigan State’ offensive line. After the redshirt sophomore limped off the field during the second half of last Saturday’s loss to Michigan, it’s unclear whether the Spartans will have the luxury of Allen’s consistency this weekend against Purdue.“I really don’t want to get into the injury parts of that, and it’s sort of an unknown right now anyway,” MSU head coach Mark Dantonio said.

Michigan State football still seeking answers at center
Two games into the season, the Tyler Higby-to-center experiment is bringing cause for concern. The Michigan State football junior, who played guard during his first two seasons, struggled with pressure up the middle and in run blocking for the second straight week during the 24th-ranked Spartans’ 16-13 loss at Arizona State on Saturday night. Matt Allen has major shoes to fill in 2018
First came Jack Allen, an All-American center who has since signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent.
