Two games into the season, the Tyler Higby-to-center experiment is bringing cause for concern. The Michigan State football junior, who played guard during his first two seasons, struggled with pressure up the middle and in run blocking for the second straight week during the 24th-ranked Spartans’ 16-13 loss at Arizona State on Saturday night. He was replaced in the fourth quarter by sophomore Matt Allen. Higby – who beat out Allen for the starting job last month – slid over to left tackle.
