Spartans Sweep Terps In B1G Home Opener
Michigan State (10-2) evened its Big Ten record at 1-1 with a 3-0 sweep of visiting Maryland (25-17, 25-18, 25-19) on Saturday evening at Jenison Field House. MSU’s middle blockers were impressive, hitting a combined .469 with 19 kills between the pair. Naya Gros had 10 kills on 17 swings (.417) and added a pair of blocks, while Rebecka Poljan had nine kills, hit .533, and had four blocks and a dig.

Spartans Sweep WMU to Complete Non-Conference Schedule
Michigan State completed non-conference action on Saturday with a 3-0 sweep of in-state rival Western Michigan. MSU captured the Delta Hotels Western Michigan Tournament title its second tournament title in the non-conference season.

Michigan State improved to 8-1 on the year with a 3-1 win over IUPUI (23-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-17). MSU won its fourth straight match.

Spartans Rally For Comeback Win Over Auburn, 3-1
Adjusting to a new lineup, the Spartans started a bit slow in the first, and fell to the Tigers by a 25-22 margin. The team rebounded, however, to hit .216 and .387 in the next two sets to go up 2-1 in the match, and closed it out with a third straight-set victory. MSU hit .256 in the match and held Auburn to .119, and each team finished with nine team blocks.

Spartans Post Clean Sweep of UNC, 3-0
Michigan State earned a 3-0 victory over visiting North Carolina in a Sunday matinee at Jenison Field House. The Spartans are now 6-1 on the season through three weeks of non-conference play, and UNC falls to 1-6, with three of their losses coming to Big Ten squads.

Middles, Norris Lead Spartans to 3-1 Win Over Cincinnati
Michigan State improved to 4-0 on the season with a strong 3-1 victory over (RV) Cincinnati on Friday night at Jenison Field House. Local product Meredith Norris continues to showcase her summer improvement, delivering 13 kills and adding 10 digs for her first double-double of the season, and adding three blocks and two aces for good measure.

Spartans Head to Charleston for Season-Opening Tournament
Michigan State begins the 2019 season at the College of Charleston Classic. The Spartans will take on Duke (Friday, 4:30 pm) and the host institution (Saturday, 7 pm). Also in the tournament is reigning National Champion Stanford, which plays the same two teams on alternate days.

Volleyball Plays Annual Green & White Match Friday
Michigan State volleyball unofficially opens the 2019 season on Friday, hosting its annual Green & White exhibition match. The annual event will be held at 7:30 pm at Jenison Field House, with free admission for all patrons. At the conclusion of the match, the team will hold an autograph session at the south end of the fieldhouse. Limited concession offerings (beverages and ice cream carts) will be open as well.

Spartans Announce 2019 Volleyball Slate
Michigan State volleyball coach Cathy George has announced the 2019 volleyball schedule, which lines up the Spartans against a challenging non-conference slate before the beginning of the Big Ten schedule in late September.
