Spartans Win Fourth Straight, Down Wisconsin 4-0
The Michigan State women’s tennis team kept rolling and picked up its fourth consecutive Big Ten win by defeating Wisconsin, 4-0 on Sunday afternoon. MSU is now 13-4 on the season and 4-1 in conference play after earning a commanding win at home to close out the weekend.

Men’s Tennis Takes on Purdue, Indiana to Conclude Road Stretch
The Michigan State men’s tennis team hits the road for a pair of matches as they continue Big Ten action this weekend. MSU will face Purdue on Saturday, April 1, with the match set to begin at 2 p.m. The Spartans will then travel to Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana on Sunday, April 2 and the match is set to begin at 2 p.m.

The Michigan State women’s tennis team returns home this weekend as it hosts Minnesota and Wisconsin in conference play. MSU will square off with Minnesota on Saturday, April 1 and Wisconsin on Sunday, April 2. Both matches are set to begin at 12 p.m.

Head Coach Gene Orlando Honored By USTA With Brad Parks Award
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) today announced that Gene Orlando of Lansing, Mich. — head coach of the Michigan State University (MSU) men’s tennis team — has been presented the Brad Parks Award for his outstanding contribution in helping grow wheelchair tennis at the local level. Orlando was recognized during an awards banquet at the USTA Annual Meeting and Conference, March 24-27, at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The Michigan state women’s tennis team won its second Big Ten match of the weekend to improve to 12-4 on the season and 2-1 in conference play, while the Hoosiers fall to 10-8.

The Michigan State women’s tennis team won its first Big Ten match of the season with a 5-2 victory over Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind., on Saturday afternoon. MSU improves to 11-4 on the season and 1-1 in conference play, while the Boilermakers drop to 5-9.

The Michigan State men’s tennis team kicks off the rest of the 2017 campaign with Big Ten Conference action this weekend March 17 and 19, welcoming a pair of Big Ten foes to the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. MSU will host No. 14 Michigan on Friday, March 17 at 6 p.m., before welcoming in Penn State on Sunday, March 19 at noon.

The Michigan State men’s tennis concluded its three-match weekend with a split at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility on Sunday, March 12. MSU suffered a 4-0 loss to #49 Drake in the afternoon then answered with a 7-0 victory over Niagara in the night session.

The Michigan State women’s tennis team dropped its Saturday morning match vs. No. 41 Notre Dame, 6-0, in South Bend. The Spartans drop to 9-2 on the season, while the Irish improve to 7-1.

Spartans Down Western Michigan, 6-1
The Michigan State women’s tennis team improved to 9-1 on the season with a 6-1 win over Western Michigan in Kalamazoo on Friday night. The Spartans started the night off right, winning two doubles matches to earn the point heading into singles play, where MSU picked up five wins, with each victory coming in straight sets.
