Men’s Tennis Takes On ITA Midwest Regionals
Michigan State men’s tennis travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the 2017 ITA Midwest Regional Championships presented by Oracle from Thursday-Monday, Oct. 19-Oct. 23 at the Varsity Tennis Center. The winners of each main draw (singles and doubles) will receive automatic bids to the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Indian Wells, California.

MSU Concludes Play at ITA Midwest Regionals
The Michigan State women’s tennis team wrapped up competition today at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships. The tournament featured six ranked singles players and four ranked doubles teams, as well as Big Ten competition in Michigan, Northwestern and Ohio State. Nine Spartans represented MSU at the tournament, composed of two players in the qualifying singles round, seven in main draw singles and four doubles teams.

Spartans Set for ITA Midwest Regionals
The Michigan State women’s tennis team will take to the road this week to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships. The tournament will run from Thursday, Oct. 12 to Tuesday, Oct. 17 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the Varsity Tennis Center. The qualifying round will begin on Thursday, Oct. 12, with the main draw doubles following on Friday, Oct. 13 and main draw singles on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Spartan Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Bobby Bayliss Invitational
Michigan State men’s tennis completed competition at the Bobby Bayliss Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Sunday. Four Spartan freshmen notched their first collegiate wins in the Green and White. Battling the threat of rain all weekend, the team claimed 16 victories in singles and three doubles wins to finish the competition at 19-22.

Michigan State men’s tennis continues its fall schedule by traveling to Notre Dame for the Bobby Bayliss Invitational from Friday, Oct. 6 to Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Courtney Tennis Center. The Spartans make their first appearance at the event since 2013.

Metcalf and Nguyen Travel to ITA All-Americans
Michigan State women’s tennis will be sending two representatives, juniors Emily Metcalf and Davina Nguyen, to the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women’s All-American Tournament this week. The main draw will run from Thursday, Oct. 5 to Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California, which is in it’s 33rd consecutive year of hosting the tournament.

Dube and Forman Compete at ITA All-American Championships
Seniors Michael Dube and Brett Forman took on the tall task of representing the Spartans at the 2017 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This marked Michigan State’s first appearance at ITA All-American Championships since 2013.

Spartans Conclude Play at Wildcat Invite
The Michigan State women’s tennis team wrapped up competition at the Wildcat Invite in Evanston, Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 1. The Spartans began the opening weekend of the season with a 10-4 record in singles play and posted a 6-5 record in doubles play for the tournament.

Women’s Tennis Begins Fall Campaign at Wildcat Invite
The Michigan State women’s tennis team begins its 2017 fall campaign at the Northwestern Invite. The tournament will take place at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center from Friday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 1. In addition to the Spartans and host Wildcats, participating schools include Chicago State, DePaul, Florida State, Kentucky, Lewis, Marquette, Michigan, Montana, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, UIC and Utah.

Michigan State men’s tennis will send the senior trio of Brett Forman, Michael Dube and Jasper Koenen to compete for the Spartans at the 2017 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center from Saturday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 8. The tournament features top tennis talent from around the nation, as the top-ranked players from last season receive an automatic selection.

Michigan State men’s tennis will kickoff its fall schedule this week by traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the 2017 Milwaukee Tennis Classic. MSU Women’s Tennis Announces 2017-18 Schedule
Michigan State women’s tennis head coach Kim Bruno announced the team’s 2017-18 schedule Friday. “Our fall schedule creates a great opportunity for our women to get better, while improving their individual rankings,” said Bruno. “This spring we will have a more challenging schedule, but this provides us with opportunities to reach a higher level.”

Harry Jadun Named Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach
Michigan State men’s tennis head coach Gene Orlando has named former Spartan All-American Harry Jadun as the program’s new assistant coach. A four-year letterwinner from 2011-15, Jadun was a part of the first Spartan doubles team to earn All-America honors in school history, as he advanced all the way to the semifinals of the 2015 NCAA Championships along with partner John Patrick Mullane.

Chua Receives National ITA Cissie Leary Award for Sportsmanship
Michigan State women’s tennis player Aslina Chua was honored as the national winner of the Cissie Leary Award for Sportsmanship for the 2016-17 season by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Two Spartans Earn ITA Honors
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the women’s Division I regional award winners on Monday, May 15th, and two Spartans garnered accolades in the Midwest Region. Junior Aslina Chua was named the Cissie Leary Sportsmanship Award winner, while Tyler Faulkner received the region’s Assistant Coach of the Year Award.

Spartans Fall To Northwestern In Big Ten Tournament, 4-1
The Michigan State women’s tennis team fell in it’s opening match of the Big Ten Tournament on Friday evening in Champaign, Ill. The No. 3-seeded Wildcats defeated the No. 6-seeded Spartans 4-1, and MSU falls to 17-8 on the season.
