The Michigan State swimming & diving team sent ten individuals to the USA Winter Nationals in Columbus, Ohio and came back with two broken varsity records.

Michigan State Sends 10 Spartans To USA Winter Nationals
The Michigan State swimming and diving program will send 10 individuals to Columbus, Ohio to compete in USA Winter Nationals. The meet will be held from Nov. 29-Dec. 2 in the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

Swimming & Diving Finish Second At Northwestern TYR Invitational
The Michigan State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams brought home second-place finishes from the Northwestern TYR Invitational. The men finished second out of six teams, while the women finished second out of nine teams.

Spartans Conclude Day Two At Northwestern TYR Invitational
Michigan State has concluded its second day at the Northwestern TYR Invitational. The women are in second with 515 points, behind Northwestern. The men are in second to Northwestern as well, with 577.5.

Spartans Start Northwestern TYR Invitational Off Strong
The Spartans came out strong on the first day of the Northwestern TYR Invitational. The men are currently in first place with 292.5 points, just ahead of Northwestern with 276.5. The women are in second with 274 points, just behind Northwestern with 370.

Swimming & Diving To Compete In Three Day Northwestern TYR Invitational
The Michigan State swimming and diving program will travel to Evanston, Illinois to compete in the Northwestern TYR Invitational. The meet will be held in the Norris Aquatics Center for three days of action, Nov. 17-Nov. 19, with each day starting at 9 a.m. CT.

Three Spartans Earn Big Ten Weekly Honors
Michigan State swimming and diving’s Racheal Bukowski, Olivia Chick and Guy Moskovich all earned Big Ten weekly accolades as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday. Bukowski was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, while Chick and Moskovich were named Big Ten women’s and men’s Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Defeats Miami (Ohio)
The Michigan State men’s swimming and diving team beat Miami (Ohio) 180-118 in its first home meet of the season. The women fell to the RedHawks 140-160. “First of all, I give a lot of credit to Miami. They raced really well,” head coach Matt Gianiodis said. “I was really happy. In terms of big picture, I thought our kids swam great. I was proud of a lot of our younger walk-on swimmers on the women’s side. I thought our men raced really consistently. Coming off of where we were two weeks ago, I thought we did a better job.”

Women’s Swimming & Diving Defeats Bowling Green
The Michigan State women’s swimming and diving team beat Bowling Green 180-115 in a home dual meet on Friday night. “I think they made the best out of it, and did a nice job right from the beginning. We had really nice relays and then from there it continued,” MSU head coach Matt Gianiodis said. “I thought Ellie (Roche) had a good 200 breaststroke, and our freshmen swam really well.”

Swimming & Diving Host Two Home Meets This Weekend
The Michigan State swimming and diving programs will host two home meets this weekend. The women take on Bowling Green on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. and both the men’s and women’s teams will take on Miami (Ohio) the following day, Nov. 11, at 12 p.m. at the IM West Indoor Pool.

Swimming & Diving Travel to Pittsburgh and Kenyon College
Michigan State swimming and diving will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to compete with Pittsburgh, James Madison and Miami (Fla.) on Friday, Oct. 27. Diving will begin at 4 p.m. and swimming will start at 5 p.m. at Trees Pool.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Defeats Illinois
The Michigan State women’s swimming and diving team picked up their its Big Ten win against Illinois today. The Spartans won 162-136 in their first home meet of the season.

Michigan State Women Take On Illinois In First Home Meet
The Michigan State women’s swimming and diving team will take on the Fighting Illini in their first home meet of the season on Friday, Oct. 20. The meet will be held at the IM West Indoor Pool, and will begin at 4 p.m.
“I think we’ve had a good week so far preparing for the meet. We’ve improved each week and that’s the goal. It will be competitive and I’m looking forward to it,” head coach Matt Gianiodis said. -
Swimming & Diving Host Annual Alumni Meet
The Michigan State swimming and diving program will host the 62nd annual alumni meet on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m.

Spartans Fall To No. 25/17 Notre Dame And No. 5/15 Texas A&M
The Spartans fell to Notre Dame and Texas A&M in a tri-meet in South Bend, Ind. The women fell to the No. 25 ranked Fighting Irish 139.5-27.5 and to the No. 5 ranked Aggies 141-26. The men fell 136-30 to No. 17 Notre Dame, and 142-24 to No. 15 Texas A&M.

Swimming & Diving Travel To South Bend
Michigan State’s swimming & diving teams will travel to South Bend, Ind. to compete in a tri-meet with Notre Dame and Texas A&M on Friday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. In preseason polls, the Notre Dame men and women are ranked No. 17 and No. 25, respectively, while the Texas A&M men and women are ranked No. 15 and No. 5 in that order.

Spartans Open Up 2017-18 Season With Split
The Michigan State women’s swimming and diving team defeated Northern Iowa 195-105 and fell to Iowa 108-189 on Friday, Oct. 6. The men fell to Iowa 100-195. “I thought we had a pretty good weekend,” head coach Matt Gianiodis said. “We’ve been practicing without an indoor pool and had a long bus ride down here. All things considered, I thought we did well. I’m proud of the way our seniors came out, as well as our freshmen.”
