The Michigan State men’s golf team is in eighth place after two rounds of play at the Fighting Irish Classic in Notre Dame, Indiana. The Spartans are 1-under-par 567 after Sunday’s two rounds at The Warren Golf Course.
The Michigan State men’s golf team put together its best round of the Marquette Intercollegiate with a 1-under-par 287 in the final round on Tuesday at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin. The Spartans ended the tournament 30-over-par 894 (303-304-287) to finish in ninth place.
For the second consecutive day, the Michigan State men’s golf team battled rainy conditions at Erin Hills Golf Course on day two of the Marquette Intercollegiate. The Spartans shot a 16-over-par 304 in Monday’s second round and are tied for ninth place overall at 31-over-par 607 (303-304).

Michigan State women’s golf head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll was inducted into the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday (Sept. 26) night at Van Andel Arena. Slobodnik-Stoll was part of an eight-member class that also included David Harris, Chris Kaman, Gene Paxton, Jim Haskins, and the Paganelli family of football officials, Carl Sr., Carl Jr., Perry, and Dino.

The teams played round two on Saturday and got through half of round three before it was suspended with plans to resume Sunday, however inclement weather prevented the completion of the tournament at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.

The teams will play 18 holes each day with fixed tee times on holes one and 10 starting at 9:30 a.m. ET on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Michigan State junior Allyson Geer-Park has been named the Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday. Geer-Park is shared the honor with Jaclyn Lee of Ohio State.

The Michigan State women’s golf team took second place at the 35th annual Mary Fossum Invitational on Sunday at Forest Akers West in East Lansing. Junior Allyson Geer-Park tied for medalist honors with Anna Redding of Virginia as the two tied a tournament record at 9-under-par 207.
The Michigan State women’s golf team is in fourth place after two rounds of play on Saturday at the 35th annual Mary Fossum Invitational at Forest Akers West. MSU is 1-under-par 575 (291-284), four shots back of tournament leader Virginia. Georgia and Florida are tied for second place at 2-under-par 574.
The two-time defending Big Ten champion Michigan State women’s golf team will begin its 2018-19 season this weekend with the 35th annual Mary Fossum Invitational. The annual fall tournament will take place at Forest Akers West on Saturday (36 holes) and Sunday (18 holes). Saturday’s opening round at the par-72, 6,334-yard course is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday’s final round will get underway at 9 a.m. Admission is free to spectators.
Junior Spartan golfer Allyson “Ally” Geer Park has never done anything at anybody else’s pace. She was walking before her peers, beating the boys at her local club when she was 10-years-old and even graduated high school a semester early. Her talent was so prodigious that MSU women’s golf coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll offered her a scholarship the summer after she finished eighth grade.

The Spartans shot an 8-over-par 292 in Monday’s final round at the par-71, 7,368 yard course and finished the tournament 16-over-par 868 (288-288-292), four shots out of the top five.
