Lewerke’s first career start was in 2016 against Northwestern and he set multiple program records against the Wildcats last year. However, both games ended in a loss for the Spartans. “They haven’t gone the way I wanted in terms of winning the game,” Lewerke said. “Obviously that’s something we’ve got to work on, but I think we have the full potential to do that this year.”
