Mistakes, injuries pile up as Michigan State drops Big Ten opener to Nebraska

MSU dropped its first Big Ten game under head coach Pat Fitzgerald, 31-13, on its home field. The 2-2 Spartans suffered a boatload of injuries throughout the night, including to running back Cam Edwards and linebacker Jordan Hall, arguably the program’s best players on each side of the ball, and gave the visiting Cornhuskers plenty of help along the way in their 18-point defeat.
