Brian Lewerke remembers the jitters he felt before his first few attempts to prove himself as a young quarterback to his Michigan State coaches. “I was pretty nervous, I won’t lie, when I was going into those scrimmages,” the junior said of his first few years as a Spartan. “I still get a little bit of butterflies, because it’s the first game-time field experience we have.”
