Lewerke is comfortable and confident. He has established himself as the starter, is coming off a breakout 2017 season and the only quarterback competition at Michigan State is for the backup spot. Theo Day is the newcomer in the mix and the true freshman, who has been on campus less than three months, has impressed the veteran.
