When Michigan State and Notre Dame square off Saturday night at Spartan Stadium, they’ll both do so with quarterbacks who can hurt teams as much with their legs as their arms. First-year starter Brandon Wimbush has totaled 314 yards rushing (6.4 yards per carry) for the Irish through three games, second on the team behind tailback Josh Adams (443 yards). On the Michigan State side, Brian Lewerke has half the amount of yards (150) on the ground in one less game than Wimbush, but he leads the Spartans in rushing, with LJ Scott being second at 125 yards.
