Brian Lewerke picked up where he left off in solid spring for Michigan State
When Brian Lewerke left the Spartan Stadium turf on Oct. 29 last year, he knew his freshman season was over. The Spartans quarterback had been tackled awkwardly by Jabrill Peppers in the fourth quarter against Michigan, and heard a popping sound from his leg. He didn’t need to see the X-ray to know it was broken.
