The Demon Deacons opened the season 7-1 under sixth-year coach Dave Clawson before injuries caught up to them over the final month. Wake Forest lost three of its final four to Virginia Tech, Clemson and Syracuse. Clawson’s high-tempo offense ranks 12th in FBS at 473.4 yards per game and averages 32.8 points.

Michigan State has accepted an invitation to play in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl against Wake Forest on Friday, Dec. 27 at 3:20 p.m. ET in Yankee Stadium in New York. The game will be televised on ESPN.
