Kaleb Johnson Ties for Second as Spartans Take Sixth at the Crooked Stick Invitational
The Michigan State men’s golf team wrapped up the Crooked Stick Invitational in Carmel, Indiana, with the final round on Tuesday. The Spartans ended the tournament at 14-over-par 878 (295-282-301) to take sixth place. No. 9 Kentucky finished atop the 12-team field with an even-par 864 (289-285-290) at the Crooked Stick Golf Club.

Kaleb Johnson Named Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week
Michigan State sophomore Kaleb Johnson has been named the Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday (Sept. 20). Johnson tied for first place at the weather-shortened Inverness Intercollegiate this week with an 8-under-par 134. With the help of nine birdies, he shot a 6-under-par 65 in the opening round, tying for the second-lowest round in program and tournament history. Johnson shot a 2-under-par 69 in the second round to earn his first collegiate tournament win.
