But as of now, Michigan State is going strong.This uncertainty has made training more difficult than any of the women’s basketball players expected. But even with all the unpredicted challenges, one person never failed to lift their spirits: Annalise Pickrel, the team’s strength and conditioning coach.

Michigan State women’s basketball will play its home Big Ten opener on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. The Spartans opened the season 3-0 overall and 1-0 in B1G action. MSU captured its Big Ten opener with a strong offensive performance against Minnesota on the road on Dec. 9. The Spartans handled the Gophers an 81-68 loss, behind 25 points by Nia Clouden.

MSU improves to 2-0 after blowing out Detroit Mercy 82-45
Michigan State (2-0) came into the game knowing that they needed to build upon their season-opening win over St. Francis. They did just that with a 37 point, wire-to-wire, 82-45 win over Detroit Mercy (0-3) on Wednesday night. Nia Clouden led the Spartans with 15 points and Taiyier Parks put in a near double-double with 12 points and seven rebounds.
