While Michigan State has ripped off nine straight wins, Izzo is the first to admit that the streak has been aided by scheduling. The Spartans’ Big Ten opponents are a combined 5-17 in conference play (Michigan State has now played the 1-4 Gophers twice). The Spartans’ in-conference strength of schedule is second-to-last in the Big Ten, ahead of only Michigan as of Friday afternoon.
