Michigan State incoming freshman Chase Reid was selected No. 6 overall in the 2026 NHL draft by the Seattle Kraken. Reid is the No. 2 overall rated North American skater in this draft. Reid is a native of Chesterfield, Mich. and played this past season in the OHL. Spartan incoming freshman right winger Nikita Klepov was taken 15th overall by the Anaheim Ducks.
