Over the course of its seven-game losing streak, Minnesota showed it is more than capable of putting a scare into some of the Big Ten’s better squads. Minnesota finally cashed in that pent-up frustration Wednesday night at No. 10 Michigan State’s expense, leading the visiting Spartans from wire to wire in Minneapolis. MSU made the Golden Gophers earn it, generating a rally that got it within two points in the final minute, but the comeback started too late, and the Spartans suffered a 76-73 defeat at Williams Arena.
