Michigan State (12-1, 2-0 Big Ten) is heading into its second true road game of the season on Friday (9 p.m., Peacock) at Nebraska (13-0, 2-0), one of the conference’s early surprises. The Cornhuskers, who have only one NCAA Tournament appearance in the previous six seasons under coach Fred Hoiberg, were picked to finish 14th in a Big Ten preseason media poll. They won their first ranked game of the season at Illinois earlier this month after smashing Wisconsin by 30 in the Big Ten opener.
