It took 2-seed Michigan State 21 minutes, 30 seconds to take its first lead Sunday night at Rocket Arena. You work that hard for something, you don’t want to give it back. New Mexico, the 10-seed in the South Region, briefly got its hands back on the lead for just a minute, before the Spartans snatched it back and fended off the Lobos the rest of the way.
