No. 3/3 Michigan State got three of its five goals from defensemen and junior Hobey candidate Isaac Howard scored his 23rd goal of the season in a 5-2 road victory at Notre Dame on Friday. Combined with Minnesota’s overtime loss at Penn State on Friday, MSU and the Gophers are now tied atop the Big Ten standings with 47 points each.
