Michigan State earned a 3-0 shutout victory on the road at Canisius on Friday night, improving to 4-1 on the season. Trey Augustine earned his first shutout of the season and fourth of his career, keeping the Spartans in a 1-0 game until the visitors popped a pair of late power-play tallies on a major penalty in the final five minutes of the game. Augustine stopped 15 shots in the victory.
