Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Lisa Breznau announced the Spartans’ 2024 men’s and women’s schedule on Monday. The eight-meet season will kick off at the Jeff Drenth Memorial on Aug. 30 in Shepherd Mich. Jeff Drenth was the brother of MSU great Walt Drenth, former Michigan State Director of Cross Country and Track and Field of 15 years, winning five Big Ten Coach of the Year honors and USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year following MSU’s women’s cross country national championship in 2014.
