Michigan State coaches trying to focus just on football, but it’s hard
The old saying is, coaches are hired to be fired. Harlon Barnett knows that. Jim Salgado knows that. Jay Johnson knows that. Because they’ve lived it before.“I’ve been through it several times. I don’t know if that’s good to say you’re a veteran of it, I’ve been through it several times,” Johnson, Michigan State’s offensive coordinator the past four seasons, said last week. “And I think, at the end of the day, we all know when we sign up that it’s part of the deal. You know that. You know it’s a part of the situation.”
