Michigan State’s defense finds positives it hopes to build on in first road test
Three possessions into the game, Maryland reached the end zone three times. Michigan State trailed 21-0 midway through the second quarter last week and appeared headed for a second straight blowout loss. However, unlike the previous week when the Spartans were noncompetitive in an ugly loss to Washington, they fought back and challenged the Terrapins late before a 31-9 loss.
