With four players in double figures, the No. 8-seeded Michigan State women’s basketball team defeated No. 9-seeded Purdue, 73-69, in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This is the third time in the last four seasons that the Spartans have reached the quarterfinals. Michigan State snapped a three-game losing streak with the win against the Boilermakers, improving to 15-14 this season. Purdue now stands 16-14 this season.
