Michigan State’s mental state came into focus after a 26-point loss at Iowa in which it trailed by double digits for the entire second half and lost by its largest margin of Big Ten play. With four games left in the regular season, this Michigan State malaise has dragged on past the point where previous Spartans teams have turned things around. But Tom Izzo is still confident that the turnaround will happen for this bunch, even if it’s is showing few signs on the court that it will.
