Mel Tucker’s new Michigan State football coaching staff continues to navigate how to teach the players what it expects without on-field practice. The lack of hands-on work in the weight room might be even more challenging for Jason Novak. Tucker’s new strength and conditioning coach replaces Ken Mannie, who retired. Novak does not have the benefit of watching workouts or holding Zoom sessions with the Spartans, with the school closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
