As a point guard on Michigan State’s scout team, Jack Hoiberg’s job every week is to learn the personnel and tendencies of the Spartans’ opponents and then replicate them in practice. Doing that for the Spartans’ opponent this week has been a little easier than normal. Hoiberg will play against his father, Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg, when the Spartans travel to Lincoln for a Thursday game (8:30 p.m. ET, FS1).
