For someone like Edward Warinner, not playing football was torture. His father, Ed, coached at Michigan State, won a national championship at Ohio State and is now the offensive line coach for archrival Michigan. Simply put, the younger Warinner has spent his entire life around the game. So when the redshirt freshman linebacker missed spring practice with an unspecified injury, it was one of the hardest things he has ever experienced.
