Brian Lewerke is counting down. The number is now at 10 days until Michigan State opens the season against Utah State and the redshirt junior quarterback is ready for the first game. “Personally, for me, I’m ready to play, I think, right now,” Lewerke said after practice Monday night. “Obviously, there’s some minor stuff in learning their defense and plays and all that stuff, but I think us as an offense and us as a team are all ready to play.”
