Josiah Scott was going to have to sit out the first half of Michigan State’s season opener against Utah State on Aug. 31. That was the result of the cornerback being ejected for targeting in the fourth quarter of the Spartans’ Holiday Bowl win against Washington State last year. By NCAA rule, Scott will still have to miss the first half of his next game, but it’s now unclear when that will be.
