Despite guiding Michigan State to a resurgent season last year, coach Mark Dantonio actually dropped in CBS Sports’ annual rankings of college football coaches from Power Five conferences. Dantonio checked in at No. 16 in this year’s rankings, which were released on Wednesday. That was a five-spot drop from No. 11 last year when Dantonio and Michigan State were coming off a 3-9 season.
