The pinnacle of Jim Slater’s hockey career was playing for the United States Olympic Team in South Korea two months ago. It was something the former two-time Michigan State captain never expected. But he seized an opportunity and ended up having the greatest sports experience of his life. “It was the coolest sporting scene ever, and to be a part of it will always be with me,’’ Slater said.
