In dire straits early in the second half at Northwestern, Michigan State was searching for a spark. Miles Bridges had turned the ball over four times and was in foul trouble. Jaren Jackson Jr. was in foul trouble, too. Michigan State wasn’t moving the ball well on offense and its defense was poor as it trailed by 22 points. It found that spark in Cassius Winston, who he delivered as much as anyone could have expected.
