The idea of working a 9-to-5 is a foreign one for college basketball coaches, but Tom Izzo wasn’t going to let his Michigan State staff work late Wednesday. MSU wrapped up a stretch of five games in 12 days late Tuesday night in Iowa City, and after a clearly fatigued team scraped out a 96-93 win, Izzo gave the Spartans the day off Wednesday. The coaches were told to go home Wednesday afternoon. The players weren’t allowed in the building.
