So it begins. On Friday, the final contact period leading up to National Signing Day on Feb. 7 began. Until Feb. 3, coaches can have face-to-face contact with 2018 recruits on their campuses, at their schools and in their homes. It’s usually the busiest time of the year for recruiting, but after the vast majority of senior recruits signed during the early period in December, there won’t be quite as much fanfare. Still, Michigan State has a few more needs to fill.
