Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio began his press conference Wednesday morning by noting it was probably the earliest he ever announced a signing class. The timing – both on the clock and the calendar – were the result of the NCAA adopting a new early signing period from Dec. 20-22 this year. Michigan State took full advantage and had a drama-free day as all 20 of its commits were signed before 10:30 a.m. – a little more than three hours after national letters of intent could begin being sent.
