Michigan State basketball is entering uncharted territory. Not with the quick turnarounds. That’s something Tom Izzo is used to – but in March, not December. The Spartans returned from Portland on Monday after three games in four days at the Phil Knight Invitational, including a title win over then-No. 9 North Carolina. They beat No. 5 Notre Dame on Thursday in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. And now, No. 3 MSU opens Big Ten play almost a month earlier than normal with two games in three days.
