Michigan State debuted at No. 24 in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday night. Now the fun begins. The Spartans, for all they’ve shown through their 6-2 start, have lost their only game against a team that appeared in the rankings — 38-18 against Notre Dame. Their two best wins — against Iowa and Michigan — don’t look quite as good now as they did at the time. But now Michigan State has a chance to show exactly what it’s made of.
