Trent Gillison was in middle school when he realized his athletic potential could take him further than most. He had played football since age 4 and worked on his game but knew it was time to double down. So, he and a few teammates decided to start waking up at 5 a.m. three days a week to train with high school players. They went through the same lifting, agility and speed workouts as the varsity guys and Gillison still maintains the early-morning workout regimen to this day.
