As the son of Michigan State fans, Jaylan Franklin grew up rooting for the green and white. The 2018 three-star athlete from Carlson High School in Gibraltar was a big fan of Le’Veon Bell and also wanted to be a playmaker for the Spartans. Flash forward to late February and Franklin was inside the Duffy Daugherty Building watching Michigan State practice. Coach Mark Dantonio pulled him aside and extended a scholarship offer.
