Even Tom Izzo underestimated Draymond Green
Draymond Green has come a long way since his days of playing for Tom Izzo at Michigan State. He and the Golden State Warriors have a strong chance of returning to the NBA Finals for the third consecutive season, and it seems with every game, the argument for him being the Defensive Player of the Year gets stronger. But even when Izzo and the Spartans excelled and made it to two Final Fours while Green was on the team, the Hall of Fame coach had no idea just how good Green could be.
