The Michigan State women’s golf team shot two of its best rounds of the year on Monday at the Briars Creek Invitational in Johns Island, South Carolina. The Spartans were led on Monday by freshman Allyson Geer, who currently sits in ninth place at 2-under par 142 for the tournament after a career-low 4-under par 68 in the opening round and a then a 2-over par 74 in the afternoon. The highlight of the day came courtesy of Geer as she recorded a hole-in-one on the 150-yard, par-3 17th hole in the second round.
