One year ago, Michigan State was in pursuit of a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.Although the Spartans went on to win their fifth Big Ten Tournament title, they ended up as a No. 2 seed in the Big Dance and were upset by Middle Tennessee State in the first round. This year, Michigan State is on the bubble and might need a push in the Big Ten Tournament just to make the NCAA field for the 20th straight season.
