The fans in Crisler Center stood up and started to celebrate .“Little brother!” they chanted, as Michigan was on the way to a stunningly easy, 86-57 blowout over Michigan State. “Little brother!” The game was long over, but Tom Izzo wanted to prolong the agony just a little bit longer, so he called a time-out with 42 seconds left, which was the most important teaching moment of this game for him. “I said, ‘if you don’t understand the rivalry, listen to it – the fans,’ ” Izzo said. “That’s what it’s supposed to be.”
