Michigan State senior golfer Yurika Tanida is far from her home country of Japan, but yet has found a way to make herself quite comfortable in East Lansing. She had an incredible 2019-20 season, both on and off the golf course. She led the Spartans with 65 total birdies and 3.6 birdies per round. She was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team, and also to the Academic All-Big Ten team.

Tanida Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week
Michigan State junior Yurika Tanida has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Tanida posted the best finish of her career at the Glass City Invitational in Toledo, Ohio, earlier this week as she tied for fourth place.

Trio of Spartans Named to B1G Golfers to Watch List
Michigan State seniors Allyson Geer-Park and Paz Marfa Sans, along with junior Yurika Tanida have been named to the Big Ten Women’s Golfers to Watch List, which was announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Each of the 14 Big Ten schools had three players named to the list.

Women’s Golf Adds Yurika Tanida for 2017-18
Michigan State women’s golf head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll announced Wednesday (April 12) that Yurika Tanida has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Spartans for the 2017-18 season.
