Colley Named to the Women’s Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List
Michigan State redshirt-senior guard Shay Colley has been named to the Women’s Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List, as announced on Wednesday by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Colley is one of 50 players named to the initial watch list and one of six Big Ten players on the list. The candidates are vying for the 2020 Women’s Player of the Year honor.

Late Comeback Falls Short Against No. 13 NC State at Cancun Challenge
Despite being down double-digits several times, the Michigan State women’s basketball team showed fight, falling to No. 13 NC State, 78-74, in the opening game of the Cancun Challenge on Thursday. This is the 14th annual Cancun Challenge and the third time that the Spartans have played in it.

However, what some may not have known is one of those Spartans is already a gold medalist. Colley Steers MSU Past Purdue, 82-68 :: Michigan State
Behind a game-high 21 points from redshirt-sophomore guard Shay Colley, the Michigan State women’s basketball team stopped Purdue, 82-68, at Mackey Arena on Saturday on the final day of the regular season. The Spartans have now won two-straight to end the regular season. MSU improves to 17-12 overall and 7-9 in Big Ten action, while Purdue falls to 18-12 overall and 9-7 in league play.

Michigan State women’s basketball player Shay Colley and the Canadian Women’s National Team opened action at the FIBA Americas Women’s Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Team Canada leads Group B with a 2-0 record. Also playing in Group B is Puerto Rico (1-1), Paraguay (1-1), Cuba (0-2) and Mexico. Brazil leads Group A with a perfect 2-0 record. Canada has outscored the opposition 156-94 over the course of their first two games.
