Michigan State’s new special teams coordinator, Ross Els, didn’t show his cards too much regarding potential solutions to the Spartans’ much-beleaguered kickoff and punt returns teams of recent seasons. That’s because, at this point, there aren’t any cards to show thanks to the coronavirus pandemic shutting down spring practice and a number of other elements at Els’ disposal in an attempt to workshop better results.
